TGGS celebrates outstanding GCSE results!

We are celebrating another exceptional year for GCSE results, with the highest ever number of students achieving 10 or more grade 7 or better!

Year 11 students have all shown remarkable dedication and resilience, with a record number achieving 10 or more grade 7s and above. Ms Forster, Headteacher, shared that she is ‘so proud of all students for all of their hard work and to the staff for their dedication and commitment. These results are well deserved!’

Staff at TGGS have also worked tirelessly to support and guide students throughout their Journey to Success, ensuring they reached their full potential. The results highlight the commitment and hard work of the entire TGGS community.

All students deserve to be proud of their results.  Jessica Jiang and Isla Rowe achieving all grade 9s including Further Maths and they will be going on to study A Levels. Gonca Alimli, Evie-Mai Corns, Grace Kimble, Ewa Mikosz, Seren Harris, Sophie Swainson, Emily Allard, Daisy Simmonds, Melissa Batson, Isabella Shah and Ruth Hu all achieved all grades 8 & 9, and nearly two thirds of all students achieved 5 or more GCSEs at grades 7 or better.

Under Ms Forster’s leadership the number of top grades 9s has increased at TGGS every year.  Furthermore, this year, the percentage of students achieving 7-9 grades is even higher than the excellent results last year.  Ms Forster said ‘today is about our students – it is their day, and we are proud to be enrolling so many of them back into our sixth form which also celebrated phenomenal results last week.  Last year our sixth form was the 2nd nationally for state girls’ sixth forms and this year we are delighted to be welcoming boys to study their A Levels here’.

We have received a record number of Sixth Form applications this year, reflecting the confidence families place in our school. Whether our students choose to continue their studies with us at TGGS or embark on new challenges elsewhere, we are certain they will all continue to flourish and achieve remarkable success. 👏
