On Tuesday 3rd February, some of our year 10 & 11 students enjoyed a trip to Oxford, courtesy of Mr Endersby (one of his favourite places 😊)

Huge thanks to Reanna and the brilliant team at Exeter College for an inspiring introduction to university life, a fantastic Q&A with current students — including TGGS alumna Isabelle — and tours of the stunning medieval Hall, gardens and iconic views across the city. Even the drizzle couldn’t dampen the excitement!

Students explored the Earth Sciences labs with Dr Charlie, handled volcanic rock samples and even tried out some volcano‑themed experiments 🌋. Other groups headed to the Ashmolean with alumna Belle or visited Hertford College with alumna Lucy, who is now Outreach Officer.

After enjoying taster sessions in Law, Materials Science, History and Engineering, the groups went off to explore other aspects of Oxford (the shops no doubt!!)

A huge thank you to all our wonderful alumnae and to Exeter College for such a warm welcome — our students left buzzing with ideas and inspiration for the future! ✨
