Back in July, we reported on the sailing success of our now year 10 student, Edith Phillips, who had fought her way to be placed first girl, third South West sailor, and sixth overall in the South and South West Regional Youth Championships.
Not content with that....
Based on Edith's performance in national competitions, she has now gained places on the Regional Performance Squad and the National Performance Squad. She will now receive 3 weekends of intensive training over winter weekends 
with an experienced RYA coach.
Last weekend, Edith participated in the final event of the regional competitions, the 'Super South' at Shoreham, where she came 6th overall. 
Edith's final results are: 2nd in the summer series 
, 1st in the autumn series 
and 2nd overall (1st girl) . And she gets her homework done too
