It wasn't the best week for weather for the Y8 residential, in tents!!  But that didn't stop them..

The happy campers arrived at lunchtime on Wednesday 17th September, in the pouring rain and wind for their two night residential of activities which were (you've guessed it) all outside..

Ocean adventure, climbing/caves, high ropes, archery. laser tag, axe throwing, bushcraft, silent disco and lights out at 10.00pm (apparently, that didn't quite go to plan).

Ms McIlwrath, who accompanied the trip, assured us that they all had a great time despite the inclement September weather but that she welcomed her hot meal every night and no doubt cake was involved too (we know our PE teachers too well!)

They had a better second day with the weather, allowing them to enjoy the high ropes, axe throwing, kayaking (they seem to have lost their kayaks!!) and a (not so) silent disco in the evening.

The last day concluded with archery, bushcraft, problem solving, lunch and awards and then home to parents for an evening of endless chatter!!
