In 1969 the school won the final of the Top of the Form, a national televised general knowledge quiz for schools.
The iconic owl trophy resides in the Archive corridor.
Although the show finished in 1986 after 38 years, our key stage 3 leaders revive the format periodically so that the lower 
school forms can contest our own TGGS version of the quiz.
