the careers programme

The careers’ programme we offer aims to give independent, impartial advice to all our students. Some of its key components are: 

  • Individual interviews with a highly knowledgeable and approachable Careers’ Advisor;
  • Talks on non-university options post school – early Spring Term Year 12;
  • Talks by university subject specialists – late Spring Term Year 12;
  • Support in applying to International Universities including US, Eire, Germany, Netherlands;
  • Organised visits to Higher Education Fair and university Open Days – summer Term Year 12;
  • Support on UCAS Personal Statement writing – Summer Term Year 12;
  • Support with UCAS Application procedure – Autumn Term Year 13;
  • Support with Student Finance – Spring Term Year 13;
  • Mock interview support and practice – Spring Term Year 13;
  • Support with work-experience placements throughout the Sixth-Form.

All Departments support individuals in their university applications by running seminars and supporting individuals with their Personal Statements. 

Oxbridge: Beyond this, Mr Endersby runs an extremely thorough programme for Oxbridge candidates. This includes highly focused support throughout every stage of the process.
