GCSE Results 2021

RECEIVING YOUR GCSE RESULTS

The GCSE results will be communicated to both students and parents through the SIMS Parent and SIMS Student apps, in the same way as Grade Sheets.  The results will come to you from 8:30 a.m. on 12th August via this platform.

A few technical reminders:

  • We would recommend that you download the app and ask your phone to ‘remember you’.  However, you can still access the information through www.sims-parent.co.uk or www.sims-student.co.uk should you so wish.
  • Students: you should have registered using your school email and school password so click on to the Office 365 logo (four coloured squares) and log in using the same credentials as you use in school.
  • Parents: you will have had a choice over which account you used to register (Facebook/Twitter/Google/Microsoft/Apple).  When given the option, please click on the appropriate icon and then enter the same credentials that you normally use to access that account.
  • Please note that you cannot use the system to recover lost passwords as you are authenticating through a third-party (e.g.: Google).

If you cannot log on, please contact the school’s IT department on ict@tggsacademy.org; they are super helpful.

For further information about the grade awarding process, please refer to the letter from Mr Gregory sent by email on Friday, 2nd July.

COMING INTO SCHOOL ON RESULTS DAY

If you are happy with your A Level choices and GCSE grades, then it is fine not to come in to school on results day, but we do ask that the ‘Enrolment form‘ is completed please; see details from the Joining Year 12  booklet.

There are two reasons why you may choose to come into school on Results Day:

  • To discuss your GCSE results with staff. Members of the school’s Senior Leadership team will be in school with several Heads of Department. This will be in the Dining Room.
  • To discuss your Sixth-Form options and to enrol.  Ms Browne, Head of Sixth-Form and Mrs Horrocks, Head of Year 12, will be here, in Burton Hall.

So that we can give each of you due attention, we ask that you come into school at the following times please:

11B > 9:30 - 10:15

11C > 10:30 - 11:15

11J > 11:30 - 12:15

11R > 12:30 - 13:15

11W > 13:30 - 14:15

Students from other schools > 14:30 - 15:30
