Last week, Year 9 Art students were treated to a virtual tour of the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth, courtesy of the Ocean Conservation Trust.
The Trust had the following reason behind wishing to visit TGGS:
'Our charity has worked closely with Torquay Girls Grammar School over several years, and we value our relationship with them. We always look forward to their annual visits, which involve pupils taking part in Observational Drawing tours and taking photos of the creatures, allowing them to gain inspiration for their project work back at school. When the opportunity arose to choose a school to offer a free educational experience to, Torquay Girls Grammar School was our first choice! We wanted to offer this experience as a thank you for their continued loyalty and support for our charity.'
The tour was projected onto the art department's interactive white board and filmed by the Trust to help promote their virtual education programme to schools!
