Mr Neighbour is Teacher Champion

Careers Leader Gordon Neighbour has been successful in his application to the Teacher Champion Programme for the University of Bath. As part of the programme, he will join a national network of over 40 secondary and college professionals who have a keen interest in widening access and participation to higher education. They will take part in 4 webinars, get access to resources to use in the school, as well as providing feedback to shape our future outreach offerings. 

Subject Lead for Geology, Mr Gordon Neighbour has been asked to join a team of referents that will cooperate closely with the EDUMED Observatory, which is part of the Universite Côte d’Azur, to work with colleagues from France and across the wider European community on the production and dissemination of resources for teachers. Mr Neighbour has worked on a number of projects since 2012 with colleagues from the Laboratoire Géoazur, Universite Côte d’Azur including sharing student work on the monitoring of earthquakes and the development of games with students, based around the scientific study of Mars.
