Our GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition student's toured the historic Lympstone Manor Hotel today, experiencing the beautiful fine dining rooms of the Georgian Grade II listed mansion and the Michelin starred restaurant run by Michael Caines MBE, one of Britain’s most celebrated and influential chefs. Michael has held two Michelin stars for 18 consecutive years, and now one at Lympstone Manor.

The tours included Michael Caines state of the art kitchens, the Michelin starred restaurant and a tour of the vineyards and gardens where ingredients are grown for the restaurant. The vineyard consisted of 17,500 vines planted on the site between the house and the estuary producing classic Champagne-method sparkling wines for guests to enjoy at Lympstone Manor. Plus, the students had an inspirational presentation and talk from the senior managers from Lympstone Manor and a question and answers session on the hospitality and catering industry.
