Critical Thinking

"Critical Thinking is an opportunity to participate in a subject that allows you to work 'outside the box'.  I really find it a break from my other subjects, and very engaging."  TGGS Student

This is a bespoke Year 12 General Course unique to TGGS based on the OCR AS Critical Thinking (CT) Syllabus (delivered highly successfully for many years) which was taught for the first time in 2018/19.

Developing further the Year 9 Thinking & Reasoning Skills course followed by TGGS students, and through a focus on logic, argument and critical thinking, it is designed to:

1. support your A Levels & Extended Project Qualification (EPQ);

2. develop further the particular knowledge, understanding & skills of critique and reasoning needed by students interested in applying for Oxbridge & other Russell Group Universities where admissions Tests (AT) & Interviews (IV) are a key part of the selection process; and

3. assist the promotion of a well-rounded individual via the enhancement of various life skills!
