The School Song

The school song is sung to the tune of the hymn ‘I Vow to Thee My Country’ and the current lyrics were written by Dr Smith in 2007.

It is sung on major occasions, notably at the end of the House Shout and the Dartington Hall event.

On one occasion during Ten Tors training, staff were concerned about a group of girls who had gone missing in the mire and the mist. As evening fell they were relieved to hear the school song, rising up through the valley, heralding their safe return.
