We are incredibly proud of Gracie Wilson in Year 8, who took part in the Torbay Performing Arts Festival this weekend, hosted at TGGS. Gracie has performed at the festival for several years on the violin, but this year she stepped bravely out of her comfort zone by entering the secondary beginner singing class to.

Year 12 student, Isla Rowe, has secured a place in the national final of the Historical Association’s prestigious public speaking competition, The Great Debate.

On Wednesday 4 March, a talented team of our linguists travelled to North Devon to take part in the Regional Languages Speaking Competition.
Following a recent two-day external safeguarding review, Torquay Girls’ Grammar School (TGGS) has been commended for its exceptionally strong safeguarding culture, which is described as a significant area of strength across all levels of the school community.
Torquay Girls’ Grammar School (TGGS) marked National Apprenticeship Week by welcoming back three accomplished alumnae, who spoke to current Year 12 and 13 students about the growing range of opportunities available through degree apprenticeships. The session highlighted the breadth of opportunities available beyond the traditional university route and demonstrated the success students can achieve through this increasingly popular pathway.
