Delighted with our results!

Once again, we are delighted with this years' exam results, both at GCSE and A Level.

At A Level, 76% of grades were awared at A*- B, with 18 students achieving three or more A grades. These results underscore the school’s position as a national leader for A Level provision. As importantly, 85% of this year’s university applicants obtained a place at their 1st Choice University.

‘Our girls were rewarded with the exam success they so richly deserve,’ said Headteacher Dr Nick Smith. ‘I know how much effort our students and our staff have put in. They remained focused, despite constant changes to the curriculum, and these capable young women are now able to follow their dreams. These include first choice university courses here and abroad, top level apprenticeships, and action-packed gap years.

Head of Upper School Sarah Colombini paid tribute to the approach of the ‘Class of 2017’ saying “Year 13 were a fabulous year group with spirit, tenacity and resilience. They were committed to their studies and worked very hard; both the Sixth Form team and I are very proud of their achievements."

GCSE Results were also
excellent. As ever, the majority of grades were at A*- A (or the new number equivalent of 7,8 or 9 in English and Maths.)

Head of Y11, Mrs C Payne (who retires this term after 32 years at the school) praised the ‘Class of 2017’ saying, “My very last year group are a wonderful group of girls and I’m really pleased that they have done so well. It has been a pleasure to work with such lively yet focused girls. I really do wish them well in the future.”
